SMOKEHOUSE MEAT MARKET, LLC, which runs the meatstoked store at www.meatstoked.shop (the "Store"), is responsible for the personal information handled through the Store. This policy explains our approach in plain terms: what comes in, what we do with it, who else sees it, and the say you keep throughout. It operates alongside our Terms of Service.
What Comes In
What you type in. Place an order, open an account, join the mailing list, or write to support, and you hand us:
- your name, email address, and phone number;
- your shipping and billing addresses;
- what you bought, what you paid, and when; and
- whatever you put in a message to us — questions, photos, feedback.
What the Store records on its own. Standard systems behind the Store log:
- your IP address, and the city or region it suggests;
- the device, browser, operating system, language, and time zone you arrive with;
- the pages you open, the products you linger on, what sits in your cart, and how long you stay; and
- the site or ad that pointed you here, where that can be detected.
What partners pass back. Payment providers confirm transactions cleared; carriers send delivery scans; fraud-screening services score orders for risk. Nothing beyond those jobs is shared with us.
What We Do With It
Everything collected serves the Store and your orders:
- charging your payment method, packing the box, and getting it delivered;
- handling returns, replacements, and refunds when you ask;
- spotting fraudulent orders and keeping accounts secure;
- keeping the books and tax records the law obliges us to keep;
- learning which pages and products work, so the Store gets better; and
- sending offers by email — only to subscribers, only with a working unsubscribe link in every message.
Who Else Sees It
We do not sell or rent personal information, full stop. Outside the company, your data goes only to:
- providers working on our instructions — Shopify, which hosts the Store; payment processors; carriers; email delivery services — each limited to what its task needs;
- authorities, when a subpoena, statute, or genuine safety interest requires disclosure;
- specialist advisers, such as auditors or lawyers, bound by confidentiality; and
- a future owner of the business, if SMOKEHOUSE MEAT MARKET, LLC is ever sold, with these same protections passing along.
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies hold your session together, remember your cart between visits, let us count visits in aggregate, and — only with your consent where the law requires it — support advertising measurement. Your browser can refuse or clear them whenever you like; a few Store conveniences may stop working if you do.
The Say You Keep
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- hand over a copy of the personal information tied to you;
- correct what is wrong;
- delete what we hold, short of records the law makes us keep;
- stop the marketing emails; and
- explain, or restrict, how a particular use works.
California: under the CCPA/CPRA you may also ask what categories we collect and have them deleted, and you may opt out of any sale or sharing — a practice this Store does not engage in.
UK and EU: we rely on contract performance for your orders, legitimate interests for security and improvement, and consent for marketing. Your national data authority is available to you if we fall short.
Requests go to , ideally from the email on your orders. We answer within the deadline your local law sets.
How Long We Hold It
Order and financial records stay on file for the years that U.S. federal and Florida rules demand. Marketing subscriptions last until you leave them. The rest is deleted once its purpose is served.
How We Guard It
The Store rides on Shopify's infrastructure with TLS encryption in transit; inside the company, only the handful of staff who need customer records can open them, and we review that access routinely. Honest operators also admit that no corner of the internet is perfectly safe, which is why we treat security as ongoing maintenance rather than a finished project.
Young Visitors
The Store speaks to adults, and we make no effort to collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared details with us, email and we will wipe them.
Sites We Link To
Links leaving the Store lead to other operators' ground and other policies. Ours stops at our own door.
When This Policy Changes
A revised policy takes over the moment it is posted here with a new date above. Shopping with us after that means the current version applies.
